Buttered Salmon & Asparagus

Salmon Filet And Asparagus

Buttered Salmon & Asparagus:

Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (6-8 ounces each)

  • 1 bunch of fresh asparagus spears, trimmed

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small handful fresh dill, chopped

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • Salt, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions: Season the salmon fillets with salt on both sides. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.

Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy and the salmon easily releases from the pan. Flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they reach your preferred level of doneness. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set it aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the trimmed asparagus spears to the skillet. Season with salt and lemon juice. Sauté for about 4-5 minutes until the asparagus is tender-crisp and slightly charred.

Return the cooked salmon fillets to the skillet, and sprinkle chopped fresh dill (or your preferred herb) over the salmon and asparagus. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat everything through and enjoy!
