Bone Broth Egg Drop Soup

Bone Broth Egg Drop Soup:

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of bone broth

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tablespoons of coconut aminos

  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger

  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Green onions, sliced

Directions: In a saucepan, bring the bone broth to a gentle simmer over medium heat. While the broth is heating, whisk the eggs in a separate bowl until well beaten.

Once the bone broth is simmering, reduce the heat to low and stir in the coconut aminos, ginger, and garlic powder. Let it simmer for a few more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

While gently stirring the broth in a circular motion, slowly pour in the beaten eggs. The eggs will cook and form delicate ribbons in the hot broth. Stirring gently ensures that the eggs are evenly distributed.

Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. (BONUS: if you'd like to add extra protein, such as cooked chicken or shrimp, you can do that now! Simply stir in the cooked protein and let it simmer until heated through.)

Ladle your extra nutritious soup into bowls, top with sliced green onions, and enjoy!
